Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key Purpose Statement

Operate, Maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality.

Optimize production performance

Interpret and implement production plan for the shift

Measure and record performance attributes

Optimize usage of resources

Support the team to improve process quality

Facilitate team problem solving

Monitor trends and initiate corrective

Perform running schedule

Manufacturing Way principles and practices

Apply s standards and practices in the workplace.

Work and communicate effectively in teams

Operate and control the process according to SOP’s.

Conduct autonomous maintenance

Operate Process

  • Prepare for production
  • Operate and monitor machine performance
  • Startup machine
  • Run the machines
  • Perform brand and pack change
  • Carry out machine lubrication
  • Ensure Cleaning of Machines

Maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices

  • Locate plant, Equipment, spares and relevant documentation system.
  • Plan and prepare the job.
  • Carry out repairs or maintenance

Maintain a safe and healthy working environment

Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and legislation.

Qualifications
Minimum requirement: Technical diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
Experience

1- 3 years electrical & mechanical experience in a FMCG environment

 Knowledge:

A self-starter with high energy levels.

Ability to identify gaps and initiate improvement activities.

Understanding of SHE policies and procedures

The People Way and Company labour relations practices

Skills and Attributes:

Good problem solving capability

Is a logical thinker with the ability to determine quick solutions when problems arise

Attention to detail and commitment to quality is non-negotiable.

Ability to be pragmatic, and able to place equal emphasis on quality and productivity
