- To provide technical support for the site operation. This will entail the preparation and analysis of laboratory or plant samples, performing and monitoring of laboratory and plant tests and communication and reporting of results to relevant parties.
In This Role You Will:
Technical Functions
- Conduct weekly primary crushers GAP check and analyse result.
- Conduct monthly crusher product size analysis and advise operation on the crusher product.
- Conduct daily weightometer inspection on CV003.
- Coordinate grinding media addition rate to all the mills
- Ensure the automatic ball chargers operate at all times.
- Monitor the mills parameters and ensure that, they are operating within the required parameters (power, weight, inlet & discharge water addition rate, hopper levels, densities, circulation load ratio, cyclone pressure and etc.)
- Monitor the pebble crusher’s product and coordinate the gap adjustment. Ensure the weekly pebble crusher feed & product size analysis take place and results communicated to stakeholders.
- Coordinate mill relining activities for shutdowns.
- Ensure mill liners required for each relining for the mills are available at all time.
- Coordinate and update the downtime estimator.
- Ensure liner measurement and profile are done during shutdown using the manual approach and scan approach.
- Ensure availability of pebble dewatering screen and trommel screen panels at all times.
- Compile, analyse and interpret the mill slicer information and advice process operations.
- Ensure availability of cyclone parts at all times for cyclone repair works.
- Coordinate with supply chain (SC) to ensure availability of grinding media for all the mills at all times.
- Ensure quarterly quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) analysis on grinding media is done.
- Take daily belt cut sample on CV003 and CV001 for moisture content analysis.
- Ensure that the carbon in leach (CIL) and tails auto samplers, cyanide analyser, online pH meters, DO meters, densitometers and flowmeters are all functional at all times.
- Ensure carbon quality check on fresh and circuit carbon are carried out on quarterly basis.
- Ensure all fresh carbon are conditioned before transferring to carbon in leach (CIL) tanks.

Your Training, Skills and Experience:
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
- Degree in Extractive Metallurgy or equivalent.
Additional Knowledge:
- Knowledge of metallurgy principles and industry standards.
- Knowledge of metallurgical plant equipment.
- Knowledge of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and the environment.
Experience:
- 3 years or more of the field of experience and experience in metallurgical methods.
- Knowledge and understanding of statutory regulations relevant to safety and the environment for the mining industry.
