RESPONSIBILITIES
The Procurement and Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for executing day-to-day administrative services to the project. Duties include ensuring smooth operations of project activities such as conducting procurements, leading project/office repairs and providing logistical support for trainings and travel. He/she will also be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring that all purchases are delivered to the respective sites and all equipment is coded and branded per donor and URC requirements.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Draft and monitor the procurement plan consistent with the project workplan;
  • Receive purchase requests and complete the procurement process for all procurements;
  • Conduct price analyses, write justification/selection memos for procurements;
  • Manage project inventory for the office and health facilities;
  • Keep up-to-date trackers and registers for any trainings that take place;
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers to ensure fair market rates are secured and develop strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure ongoing quality and reliability of goods and services;
  • Keep updated records on the status of supplies, demand forecasting for replenishment of needed goods and services;
  • Provide logistical support and guidance to program staff in organizing workshops/trainings/activities;
  • Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, prices, etc.;
  • Follow, enforce, and train staff on URC’s procurement policies and procedures;
  • Ensure the safe custody of company contracts, registration and other confidential documents;
  • Carry out any other tasks consistent with the nature of this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors’ in Business Administration, and Accounting, or related field. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered;
  • At least three years of related professional experience;
  • Computer literacy-proficiency in MS Office;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Commitment to upholding URC’s values
