UYDEL is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to manage the acquisition
of goods and services for a new project focused on maternal health, Pregnant adolescent girls,
climate resilience, and reproductive health. The officer will ensure timely, cost-effective, and
compliant procurement processes that support smooth project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement plans in line with project timelines and donor
requirements.
• Prepare bid documents, manage tender processes, and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Ensure compliance with UYDEL and donor procurement policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier contracts.
• Coordinate with program and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and
services.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain an updated vendor database.
• Support audits and provide documentation as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration,
or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in NGO or donor-funded
projects.
• Knowledge of public procurement laws and donor compliance frameworks.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills.
Desirable Attributes:
• Integrity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with climate-resilience or health-related projects is a plus.
