Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the posts which have arisen within the Authority. The posts are based at Corporate Center, Hwange, Chinhoyi and Bulawayo.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of Position: shall include the following:
Purchasing goods and services
Developing and consolidating the procurement plan for the entity
Identify and developing neutral procurement specificationsGenerating weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual procurement reports
Spend Analysis and Market Consultations
Advising Internal customers on procurement related issues and functions
Managing all procurement and contracts
Negotiating terms and conditions of procurement contracts
Determining appropriate procuring methods.
Preparing bidding documents in compliance to the provisions of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act [chapter 22:23]
Designing the contract specifications and evaluation criteria
Preparing bid notices and shortlists
Managing bidding process, bidding meetings, receipt and opening of tenders
Managing the evaluation of bids and any post- qualification negotiations required
Supervising the evaluation committee
Preparing evaluation reports, including contract award recommendations
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or related qualification,
A minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in Public Procurement,
Good analytical skills,
Computer literacy.
