Product Vision and Strategy

Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for insurance projects in alignment with business objectives.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the insurance sector across Africa.

Develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog that reflects stakeholder needs and strategic priorities.

Plan and manage on-going product Investments, activities and changes

Team Management

Foster a collaborative environment within the project team, ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.

Support the development of team members’ skills and capabilities to enhance overall project performance.

Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, and technical teams.

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and surveys together with the business analyst.

Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships within the industry and within bank to ensure the unit is successfully positioned to manage risks and expectations.

Project Management

Collaborate with project managers to ensure that requirements are well understood and effectively translated into technical specifications.

Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

Product Development

Together with the BA, collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user-centric solutions that enhance the customer experience.

Together with the BA and the business, define and document acceptance criteria and ensure the delivery of high-quality products through rigorous testing and validation processes.

Together with the Change Manager, facilitate product demonstrations and training sessions for internal teams and customers.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

Analyze product performance metrics and customer feedback to inform future development and enhancements.

Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key insights, progress, and recommendations.

Risk and Control:

Ensure that required Regulatory/Compliance requirements for products are in place and understood by all. Will require detail understanding of Regulatory environment relating to the product

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
