• Maganjo Grain Millers Limited is the leading grain milling company in Uganda. It buys its raw materials directly from over 1,500 smallholder farmers across the country. The company has 20 products on the market including infant formula food.
• The Maganjo Grain Millers wants to recruit a Production Manager to oversee the company production processes and ensure efficiency.

The Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. Design production schedules for the two departments:
• Maize Department
• Blended Products Department
2. Develop a training program for all employees.
3. Ensure that processing equipment are regularly maintained and function properly to increase company’s efficiency.
4. Make sure production processes stay within budgets and deadlines and review the productivity of the company processing equipment.
5. Motivate, support and provide guidance to production staff. 6. Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep the company accident-free.
7. Communicate regularly with management regarding problems or issues affecting the production department.
8. Regularly evaluate machine conditions to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
9. Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of processing operations.
10. Set production targets for each processing team and ensure they are met.
11. Propose workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
12. Conduct staff performance appraisal on regular basis

The Production Manager should have the following qualification:
1. The Applicant should have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in either Agri-business, Business Administration, or Agricultural Engineering. Training or certification in industrial production, engineering, Food Science or any other related field will be added advantage.
