Copper Rose Zambia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Officer to join our team in Lusaka. The Program Officer will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs aimed at promoting reproductive health, economic empowerment, and leadership among young people. This role requires a proactive individual with strong project management skills and a passion for youth development.
Main Duties
Delivery of quality program
With guidance from the AHPM, participate in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation phases of the project.
Coordinate project events i.e., meetings, workshops, and trainings.
Participate in project research to inform lessons and actions during project cycles.
Support and coordinate all on-the-ground CRZ activities and work alongside stakeholders from the Ministry of Health and other partners to support direct delivery of the projects.
Be responsible for monitoring and supervision of activities implemented in the project’s sites to ensure effective implementation.
Facilitating and supporting project partners, consultants, and project team to develop training manuals and other IEC materials. Support the Communications in the production of communications tools: video clips, leaflets, press releases/ press kits, database
Work with other CRZ units (Finance, Monitoring and Learning, Programs) on activities that may need support.
Responsible for managing project database and other M&E tools
Work alongside the M&E officer to implement the project M & E plan in a professional manner
Reporting on project activities and expenditures as requested by the AHPM and according to project timeframes.
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as well as ad-hoc presentations and reports.
Undertake other program administration tasks as and when necessary.
Collaboration with partners
Work hand in hand with community, district, and national level partners and stakeholders in delivering work
Establish relationships and attend technical meetings with other NGOs and networks when appropriate.
Identify opportunities to collaborate with other organizations and leverage resources.
Management of project funds
Assisting the AHPM in developing quarterly/annual financial plans.
Monitor/track activity funds against planned and approved activity budget lines.
Ensure Accountability for the financial management of the Project.
Prepare funds requisitions, with an understanding of the current budget position.
Ensure that all requisitions and retirements are appropriately authorized, and all expenditures are backed up with the required support documentation
Other
May occasionally be required to work on weekends and/or public holidays for which time off in lieu will be granted
With guidance from the AHPM, support the supervision and/or management of project staff, vendors and/or partners.
Qualifications And Experience
University degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or relevant area.
Good analytical and report-writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve objectives.
Strong communication (verbal and writing skills), interpersonal and representational skills.
Flexible and adaptable to dynamic changes and fast-paced work environment
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Knowledge of word, Microsoft excel, and PowerPoint.
