Main responsibilities
Identify and recruit Vocational Institutes to partner with Wezesha Impact
• Lead youth business fellows and instructors trainings
• Manage youth recruitment and retention
• Support Instructors to deliver WISE program training sessions •
Monitoring and reporting of progress
Find local linkages for youth on the program
• Strengthen relationships with the districts we are implementing program
Recruit Vocational Institutions to partner with WISE ACADEMY – 20%
• Liase with the Program Officer to organize and conduct Instructors termly capacity building trainings
• Identify capacity gaps for instructors and youth business fellows and schedule periodic mentoring and coaching sessions to equip instructors with the skills required to successfully implement the WISE training
• Hold exclusively meetings with Youth business fellows and instructors to understand their professional development needs and work with the Program Officer to tailor the instructor’s fellowship to meet noted professional development needs.
Manage recruitment and retention of youth in the program –15%
Review and prepare all materials necessary for session delivery and ensure all instructors receive a teaching Kit for the program
• Support instructors to organize sessions and ensure youth attendance and active participation.
• Ensure delivery of all training sessions as planned in the curriculum or manual for the program using the right methods and approaches
• Provide weekly feedback and recommendation on sessions following their delivery and support the design team to make improvements.
• Provide timely feedback on other program components to ensure timely revision and improvement for better impact
• Coordinate guest speakers and other inspirational speakers to share their experiences with the youth
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in humanities or any relevant field (e.g., Business Administration,
Education, social sciences, Project Management).
• 3 years experience working with youth in local communities.
• 3 years experience in a similar position preferred.
• Proven experience in program coordination and management.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes.
• People management skills, including performance appraisal and team motivation.
• Knowledge of partnership development and networking.
• Proficiency in using relevant software applications (MS Office, databases, etc.).
