Job description

Provide finance support to the program through facilitation of finance matters, review and processing of payments, funds accountability, preparing reports and ensuring financial documents are in place.
Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure monthly bank reconciliations are done on time
  • Ensure staff payroll payment are processed on time.
  • Review bank and mobile transfers before being sent to the Country Program Manager for approval.
  • Prepare requests for payments in the Payment Management System (PMS).
  • Ensure that sub awardee accountability files are reviewed and posted in PMS on time.
  • Timely preparation of sub awardee funds requests.
  • Prepare liquidation reports monthly and submit within the CDC deadline.
  • Prepare quarterly reports and expenditure accruals and submit within the CDC deadline.
  • Prepare federal financial reports on a quarterly basis as required.
  • Ensure compliance to all necessary Statutory deductions and reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
  • Prepare fund accountability statements and facilitate internal and external audits on an annual basis.
  • Provide support in reviewing staff timesheets
  • Prepare and process advance requests from staff in a timely manner
  • Ensure that travel advances are accounted for by staff in a timely manner
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) holder;
  • At least four (4) years of experience managing programmes in the Non-Governmental / Donor sphere.
