Portfolio Objectives
1.Deliver high-quality implementation of the Ghana heat resilience pilot, ensuring activities are sequenced,
measurable, and completed on time.
2.Strengthen community-level heat resilience through evidence-informed interventions, targeted engagement, and
practical protection measures for vulnerable groups.
3.Build strong institutional and community partnerships that enable coordination, sustainability, and legitimacy of heat
action.
4.Produce credible learning, tools, and documentation that make the Ghana pilot replication-ready for scaling to
other African contexts.
Develop and maintain the annual implementation plan and quarterly delivery micro-plans for the Ghana pilot.
Maintain a live delivery tracker that covers milestones, dependencies, responsible parties, risks, and required
decisions.
Convene routine implementation check-ins (internal and external) and ensure action points are documented and
followed through.
Ensure delivery is aligned to approved budgets and work plans, and that deviations are identified early and
addressed through corrective action.
Coordinate alignment between field realities and strategy intentions, ensuring interventions remain coherent and not fragmented.
Heat Risk Evidence and Vulnerability Assessment Coordination
Coordinate participatory heat vulnerability and impact assessments in priority sites (e.g., markets, transport hubs,
informal workspaces).
Coordinate field tools, mobilization processes, data collection schedules, and partner contributions to evidence
generation.
Ensure evidence outputs are clear, credible, and usable for decision-making (targeting, intervention design, policy
engagement).
Support development of baseline summaries and needs profiles that guide implementation priorities and measurement.
Required Competencies
Strong understanding of climate adaptation and resilience practice, including vulnerability, risk, and resiliencebuilding pathways.
Strong coordination and delivery discipline (planning, sequencing, tracking, follow-through, risk management).
Strong stakeholder management skills across diverse actors and interests.
Strong facilitation and community engagement capability, with inclusive and respectful practice.
Strong writing and documentation skills, including reporting and learning synthesis.
High integrity, accountability, and ability to work within clear governance boundaries
