Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with district, community and school health and education stakeholders;
- Ethical review of study protocols; building and maintaining essential trial documents; liaising with regulatory authorities and trial monitors;
- Facilitating the recruitment and training of staff;
- Determining study logistics and relationships with other on-going studies in the area;
- Managing procurement and sub-contract budgets;
- Supervising study implementation; reviewing electronic data collection tools; working with data managers to revise and review data reports;
- Writing SOPs for data and sample collection, tracking, processing and management;
- Designing systems to track school attendance; determining appropriate cognition/educational testing with PI and implementing testing;
- Reporting on and reviewing study progress with the PI;
- Data cleaning;
- Sample tracking;
- Data analysis;
- Manuscript writing;
- Results dissemination
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Social science or other health related field
- At least 10 years’ research experience
- Prior experience as project coordinator for clinical trials
- Prior experience in school-based research
