UYDEL seeks an experienced Project Health Service Coordinator to integrate
reproductive, mental, and maternal health into a climate-resilience initiative for pregnant
adolescent girls (15–24) in Kampala’s slums. The role will oversee quality service
delivery, strengthen partnerships with local health systems, and support community
interventions promoting safe pregnancies in climate-affected areas.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, implement, and monitor health-related project activities.
• Coordinate with district health offices, facilities, community health workers,
leaders, and civil society to improve referrals.
• Supervise health staff, including mental health nurses and peer educators.
• Integrate climate resilience and SRHR into service delivery.
• Organize training on adolescent-friendly and climate-sensitive health care.
• Lead data collection, reporting, and documentation of outcomes.
• Represent UYDEL in health coordination and stakeholder forums.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Midwifery, or a related health field; Master’s
degree an added advantage.
• Registered midwife with proven experience in maternal and adolescent health
care.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience coordinating health programs, preferably with
adolescents or youth in community or urban slum settings.
• Strong knowledge of SRHR, mental health, and the impacts of climate change on
health.
• Experience collaborating with NGOs, government health systems, and
community health structures.
• Skilled in supervising health personnel, facilitating training, and strengthening
referral systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and report-writing abilities.
