Alinea is actively seeking applications for a talent pool of experienced Project Managers for future long-term opportunities in international development initiatives within Ghana. The ideal candidates will possess fluency in English and be based in Ghana with the legal authorization to live and work in the country.

Language Proficiency

Advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required.

Educational Requirements

  • Advanced (post-graduate) degree in political sciences, law, international development, economics, finance, business/public administration, project management, or social sciences.

Minimum Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years (preferred) of experience in managing international development programs, specifically those focused on long-term and high-value initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing international development projects with a total value exceeding $5,000,000 CAD.
  • Substantial experience working in Ghana and the broader Ghana region.
  • Expertise in preparing key project documentation, including annual work plans, financial reports, administrative reports, and narrative reports.
  • Experience in collaborating with a diverse range of international development stakeholders, including government authorities, and donors (such as Global Affairs Canada, GAC, FCDO, UKaid, USAID).
  • Comprehensive experience managing the entire project lifecycle, including proposal development, work plan creation, milestone setting, expenditure forecasting, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure cost-effectiveness in service delivery within project frameworks.
  • Expertise in identifying risks and opportunities and developing effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Experience managing administrative, financial, and logistical services across international development projects.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the overall quality and management of all project services.
  • Lead the preparation of critical project documents, including Annual Work Plans, project budgets, and financial reports.
  • Plan and coordinate administrative, financial, and logistics management services, ensuring adherence to timelines and maintaining high-quality standards in deliverables.
  • Develop and sustain strong networks of key stakeholders, including government entities, civil society organizations, donors, and the private sector.
  • Oversee procurement processes for goods and services, including the engagement of local subject-matter experts.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and ensure accuracy in reporting and invoicing for services provided.
  • Effectively manage and monitor project progress and results, addressing any issues or challenges as they arise.
