This position is tenable at MAGGA District Office in Balaka. The key responsibilities of the position include:
✓The Project Officer shall at all times perform the duties of Project Officer, for MalawiGirl Guides Association and such other duties assigned from time to time.
✓Represent MAGGA at all District based stakeholder engagements and maintain a positiveand cordial relationship with donors and all stakeholders.
✓Lead the planning, implementation, reporting and management of work on project relatedactivities.
✓Oversee all the operational performance standards to be consistent with project indicatorsand workplans
✓Coordinate and participate in the development of annual work plans according to MAGGAstrategic plan and project action plans
✓Supervise and undertake day to day management of District Program staff
✓Management of project and activity budgets in close collaboration with the financedepartment and the Project Coordinator
✓Ensure that cordial relationship is being maintained between program staff and volunteersat District level all the time.
✓Write monthly project reports for submission to the Projects Coordinator and Ensure thatall advance reconciliations at District levels are done in time according to MAGGAfinancial policies
✓Devote time, attention and ability as may be necessary for the proper performance ofProject Officer duties
✓Faithfully and diligently perform those duties and exercise such powers consistent withthem which are from time to time assigned to or vested in the position of Project Officer
✓Always endeavor to promote the interest of MAGGA
Personal Qualifications And Skills
✓A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from reputable University in Social work, or other relevant technical field.
✓A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar position for a non-governmentalOrganization.
✓Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
✓Proven attention to detail, follow-through skills, and problem-solving skills.
✓Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads in order to meet deadlines.
✓Candidates with substantial experience in Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (ASRHR) and Gender-Based Violence will have an additional advantage.
