Education:
- Master’s university degree from an accredited academic institution in social sciences or related field of study, with two years of relevant professional experience;
- University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
- Experience in project implementation in post conflict or transitional situations;
- Experience in adult centred curriculum development underpinned by Freirean approach and capacity building activities;
- Experience in community-based approach in conflict management and mediation;
- Experience with local governance, peace-building, mediation programming and participatory development approaches; and,
- Work experience and knowledge of the social structure of South Sudan.
Skills:
- Ability to design and deliver training effectively;
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Solid organizational skills: the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced and detail-oriented team environment; and,
- Good computer skills: excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email/internet software.
Languages:
- IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.
- For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge in Arabic is an advantage.
