The incumbent will, in collaboration with the Country Director, occasionally liaise with the HQ QI lead in all QI support activities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of short and long term QI plans for the program;
- Assist in the integration of SSNC standards and guidelines into the MOH quality improvement plan;
- Develop and implement SSNC quality improvement activities that are aligned with MOH Quality Management Department work plan; • Collaborate with MOH to facilitate facility accreditation survey readiness preparation;
- Serve as a quality improvement resource, and coaches health providers and stakeholders on performance improvement tools and methods; • Monitor and track progress/provider performance data from multiple sources to identify and respond to emerging trends and to ensure compliance with minimum SSNC standards;
- Oversee program QI monitoring functions;
- Oversee identification and development of performance improvement opportunities and strategies, technical assistance and enforcement activities;
- Conduct research, review, analyse and compile data, develop recommendations and reports;
- Reports quality improvement/performance outcomes to NEST360 leadership;
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelors’ Degree in health care management, or other related disciplines, from a recognised institution. Post Graduate certificate in QI is preferred;
- One to three years recent experience in a related health care position; • Registered with professionally related legal body;
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills, and excellent computer skills with a demonstrated background of expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Analytical reasoning, with the ability to interpret and evaluate complex information, while identifying patterns and essential issues;
- Ability to work with little or no supervision in a very fast-paced/deadline driven environment;
- Ability to travel extensively in country.
