Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regional Accounts Officer to strengthen our finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring sound financial management, branch accountability, fraud detection, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee financial operations for assigned regional branches, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Monitor branch-level financial reports, cash flow, reconciliations, and transactions to identify discrepancies and potential risks.

Lead efforts in fraud detection and prevention by implementing and enforcing strong internal controls.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking across the region to ensure cost efficiency and financial sustainability.

Provide training and guidance to branch accounting staff on financial best practices, compliance requirements, and reporting standards.

Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for management review and decision-making.

Collaborate with auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure full compliance with financial regulations.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional certification (CPA or ACCA) is an added advantage.

Minimum of 3 years’ accounting/finance experience, with at least 1–2 years in microfinance, banking, or financial services.

Strong knowledge of fraud detection, risk management, and financial control systems.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities.
