Your responsibilities will be
Undertake and lead investigations on a range of issue areas including fraud, corruption, code of conduct, aid diversion and safeguarding.
Ensure that safeguarding investigations are conducted according to established safeguarding principles, including with a survivor-centred approach.
Support and develop systems that create and maintain an environment that prevents sexual exploitation and abuse and promotes the implementation of the Code of Conduct.
Support the Global Investigations Director to develop and deliver investigation trainings, and to develop and revise investigative tools and templates.
Support and mentor Safeguarding Focal Points in each country. This will include regular one-on-one meetings to support and monitor progress towards initiatives.
About You.
You will bring the following experience and skills.
Proven experience in a role focused on Safeguarding in a humanitarian setting.
Have supported multicultural teams in remote locations and high-risk settings.
Demonstrated experience in supporting investigations.
Technical knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and protection principles and standards.
Experience in the NGO sector or grant-supported organizations, regional and international organizations, or an inspector general function.
Understanding of key risk areas, including: fraud, corruption, procurement integrity, trade sanctions, safeguarding, data protection and donor compliance.
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices associated with compliance risk management activities, including: risk assessment, communications, training, auditing, monitoring, investigations, donor disclosures and issue resolution.
High proficiency in English required.
Arabic is required for the Middle East regional role. Other language skills applicable to the region highly desirable for both these roles e.g. Urdu, Pashto, Dari, Farsi
Willingness to travel as safety conditions allow.
