  • Roles and Responsibilities

    Contract Nurse Management:

    • Recruit and coordinate contracted nurses.
    • Assist specialists with support to contracted nurses to achieve service delivery targets.
    • Ensure adherence to CANSA standards, policies, and procedures.

    Relationship/Team Development:

    • Utilise community structures in the execution of projects and events.
    • Promote CANSA’s national programmes and ensure compliance to standards.
    • Network with influential role players within the community to enhance/support the achievement of goals.
    • Adhere to CANSA standards and best practices.

    Event Management:

    • Ensure that all assigned events (i.e., screening clinics) comply with required benchmarks and standards.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve community events according to CANSA’s best practice model.
    • Ensure that all programme and project targets are achieved within the required timelines.
    • Ensure that complete and accurate information is captured onto relevant databases and in accordance with established timelines.
    • Protect and promote the good name and brand of CANSA in all activities.
    • Qualifications and Requirements

      • Qualified Registered Nurse with proof of qualifications and paid-up member of SANC
      • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role
      • 2 – 3 Traceable References on your application/resume
      • Excellent Patient Service and Professionalism
      • High level Time Management, Organising and Administrative skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, internet-based applications
      • Exceptional Written & Verbal Communication skills, bilingual in English & Afrikaans, another official language will be advantageous
      • Resilience to work in a highly structured and pressurised environment
      • Effective public presentations, able to facilitate group discussions and knowledge of grant and proposal writing
      • Professional attitude and appearance
      • Valid Code 8 Driver’s License and own transport
      • Non-Smoker
