The holder of this position will be responsible for mill relines which include; SAG mills, BALL mills, Standby Trommel and vibrating Screens Rebuild.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning and preparing for relining of mills.
- Carry out Mill relining works according to Workplace procedures.
- Daily Mills inspections and defect reporting to ensure corrective action is taken according to Workplace procedures.
- Identifying Workplace hazards and associated risks and minimize or eliminate them according to workplace procedures and legislative requirements.
- Adherence to Lock-out, mill access and exit according to workplace procedures.
- The liner components are examined and replacement requirements determined.
- Liner components are replaced according to workplace procedures.
- Minimize production down time, as a result of the relining process is ensured through effective communication.
- Observing proper Housekeeping at all costs.
- Other duties as instructed by the Supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Proven High skills on Mill relining with at least 6years experience.
- Knowledge on operation of MRM309 and MRM308 Mill liner Handler Machines and Feed chute transporter machine.
- Knowledge on operation of the Thunderbolt machine.
- Exposure to plant specific tools for relining i.e. 1.5” Pneumatic/Hydraulic impact wrenches, huck bolt tools will be an added advantage.
