THRIVE Project requires a creative and technically strong Resilience and Learning expert to design and support technical project assessments using such GOAL tools such as ARC-D, R4S and S4Nut. After such assessments the Resilience and Learning Lead will generate learnings and collaborate with Communications Coordinator to package the information for onward submission and circulation. The position holder will work closely with MEAL coordinator to ensure that program assessments, review meetings and project updates that have learnings are singled out for further interrogation and use to produce technical learning briefs. Reporting to the THRIVE Project Director, the post holder needs to be someone who will inject energy and creativity into the program and communicate with various audiences in an innovative and engaging way. The successful individual will be expected to spend significant time with the program teams in GOAL field teams and across the consortium intervention areas.
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Working collaboratively across the THRIVE consortium, and especially with the technical and MEAL team to develop comprehensive research driven learning plan and ensure that research results from the MEAL team are translated into timely and valuable content for specific and identified internal and external communications and dissemination.
- Leading and facilitating the prioritization, process and technical aspects of a wide array of learning content and data compilation related to THRIVE market system program impacts, in view of informing future program efforts.
- Overseeing the planning, development, creative design, production and dissemination of high -quality communication and learning materials such as learning briefs, case studies, success/challenge stories, newsletters, blogs, photo journals and videos.
- Keeping regular contact with Program Director, MEAL Coordinator, Deputy Program Directors, Market Development Advisor and Market Systems Advisor (Dublin based) to update on the progress of the development of learning agenda and materials and provide ongoing support for the successful disseminations and external communications.
- Keeping the THRIVE communications and branding strategy up to date and relevant; contribute to brand management, marketing of THRIVE program and overall communications efforts.
- Liaising with Dublin Communications team to develop messaging and plan potential dissemination and media outreach around THRIVE program stories relevant to external audience including the program funder
- Serving as liaison to key local, national and international media (in accordance to GOAL media policy), serving as THRIVE program spokesperson, writing and editing press materials.
- Preparing timely, accurate and interactive bimonthly THRIVE newsletters.
- Participating in donor meetings, government meetings/event, agricultural events and conferences and providing feedback or report on key take ways and learnings of external events.
- Organizing and facilitating quarterly review and learning meetings with stakeholders
- Leading peer monitoring and cross over learning visits and workshops with partners to generate learning for program adaptation
- Being responsible to integrate learning and adaptation in the programs/project’s operational areas
- Producing success stories for each programs/project operating and share the success stories internally
- Organizing field level review meetings and participate in HO level major review meetings
- Ensuring appropriate mechanisms that enhance learning to happen between projects and across sectors
- Initiating and facilitating quality programme implementation through integration of learning and evaluation events across sectors /Programme. set-up field level information sharing mechanisms between sectors
- Developing project profile and summary progress matrix of project and regularly share to staff and MEAL Department
- Undertaking other tasks as agreed with the Program Director

Requirements
- Proven track record of experience in a similar role.
- An excellent understanding of creative communication and copywriting
- Experienced in creating and publishing content
- Experienced in shooting, editing and publishing high quality video content.
- Excellent written and spoken English and ability to proof documents to an international standard.
- A good understanding of and eye for creative design and competency using design and video editing software packages (e.g. Adobe Suite)
