Job description

Key Responsibilities:
• Market agricultural gypsum to small- and large-scale farmers as well as fertilizer retail distributors.
Target farmers and fertilizer distributors for leads and prospects generation.
Gather and analyze marketing data and information on products, competitors, and customers.
Build and maintain customer relationships with various market participants.
Provide industry news and keep the sales team informed about new products and research developments.
Plan and develop customer crop plans, including fertility and seed portfolios in conjunction with Agricultural Gypsum.
Analyze crop conditions and report on customer delivery based on these conditions.
Scout fields and collect soil samples to provide technical analysis and recommendations The Consultant needs to know how to operate portable soil analysis machine and equipment.

Requirements and Skills:
• Educational Background
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in agronomy, plant science, agriculture business, soil science, weed science, agricultural engineering, or a related field.
• Experience
• Proven working experience as a Sales Agronomist or in a fertilizer sales role.
Minimum 5-7 years in agricultural sales or agronomy consulting.
• Technical Skills and Knowledge
• Knowledge of agricultural products, particularly related to soil health and crop fertility.
Competence in using relevant software and technology for data analysis and reporting.
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Strategic and Analytical Skills
• Ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans.
Demonstrable experience in generating leads and building customer relationships.
Strong analytical skills for gathering and interpreting market data and crop conditions.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills
• People-oriented and results-driven with a strong customer focus.
Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Competence in building and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
Effective and timely reporting of issue and sales progress to senior management

Industry Knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of agricultural industry trends and best practices.

Key Attributes
• Strong understanding of agricultural practices and products.
Proactive and results-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Occupancy Rate:
• 60%, the consultant will be requested to work 3 consecutive days per week between Monday to Friday.a
