The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Securing and protecting materials in the Natural Science Department.
• Liaising with fellow teachers in the Department on work schedule.
• Making reviews and projection of the School Term.
• Promoting Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) in School.
• Planning and preparing biology lessons based on the pupil’s ability to understand concepts.
• Arranging and preparing pupils in the laboratory for science experiments.
• Developing teaching strategies and techniques for monitoring pupil’s performance.
• Assessing pupils’ classwork, experiments and other assignments.
• Overseeing the pupils’ laboratory activities.
• Suggesting improvements to the Natural Science Department in compliance with the school procedures.
• Developing working relationships with other teachers and pupils.
• Planning, organizing, and administering pupil assessment.
• Supervising pupils’ laboratory work and guide them during experiments.
• Designing and performing practical experiments.
• Training the learners spiritually, mentally and physically.
• Providing teaching/learning materials to enhance the imparting of knowledge.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Bachelor of Science with Education.
• Must be registered with Teaching Council of Zambia.
• At least 2 years’ experience in the Teaching Profession.
• Must have high Ethical Standards.
• Working with young people in a mentoring or tutorial capacity.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
