Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare lecturers/lesson plans on a semester and weekly basis;
• Conduct lecturers according to the set timetable;
• Participate in setting, administering and marking internal and
external examinations;
• Carry out continuous assessment and evaluation of trainees’
performance during the training;
• Supervise trainees during practical and field work studies;
• Attend general staff meetings, panel, departmental, class and
committee meetings;
• Guide and counsel students;
• Participate in co-curricular activities and link the community with
the college;
• Ensure college discipline;
• Perform any other duty as may be assigned.
Required Competencies
• Knowledge skills and competences of Curriculum content in the
occupation;
• Knowledge of TVET Operating Procedures and Standards;
Skills
• Evaluation and Assessment, Mentorship, Coaching, Guidance
and Counselling, Andragogy, ICT, Communication and
interpersonal and Record keeping.
Qualifications and work experience
• An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant occupational field,
obtained from a recognized University/Training Institution.
• A masters degree from a recognized University/Institution is an
added advantage.
