a) Check all premises at the close of the day to ensure that doors and windows are properly locked.
b) Apprehend suspected intruders and questioning them for proper identification
c) Direct visitors to the reception for more information.
d) Report any burglary cases to the authorities and prepare the relevant reports.
e) Patrol premises to ensure maximum security and to detect any breaches of the law, day and night.
f) Guard against vandalizing UPIK property.
g) Ensure security to vehicles in Parking Lots.
The applicant must possess:

i) Must be physically fit and healthy
a) Applicants must be holding a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least a pass in English and Mathematics.
b) Applicants must have at least two (2) years of relevant work experience as a Security Guard in Government or reputable organization.
c) Possession of additional training in security or safety will be an added advantage.
