Target Security Group, a fully integrated multidisciplinary security and facilities management company, is recruiting a Security Officer.

In this position, you will be responsible for enforcing all company rules, policies, and procedures. You will also conduct proper training and oversight according to contract and company specifications. This position will provide quality service through post inspections and will be responsible for the gathering, documenting, and reporting of all incidents, as well as strengthening communication between security officers, management and client.

Main Responsibilities
Duties and essential functions but not limited to;
•Conducting shift hand overs at the beginning and end of a shift to ensure that all matters of concern are passed on for purpose of incident management continuity.
•Writing incident reports and cooperating with supervisors for further action.
•Identifying suspected criminal activity at clients’ site and liaising with the police where criminal activity has been registered for investigations.

The Ideal Candidate.
•Must possess a minimum of the Malawi School Certificate of Education.

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
•Must possess at least five (5) years of prior experience of working as a security guard in a busy reputable security company.

Skills Required
•Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with clients.
•Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
•Active listening skills.
•Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
•Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
•Attention to detail.

Other requirements
•Must be not less than 25 years.
•Must be in possession of valid National ID.
•Those with a valid driving license have an added advantage.
•Must be of high integrity and with no criminal record.

Physical Requirements.
Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing, jogging etc.
Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting.
