Undertake all activities and tasks related to financial system surveillance and analysis to ensure early detection of emerging vulnerabilities and systemic risks in the financial system.
Main Accountabilities
- Conduct and review the surveillance and assessment of systemic risk, including surveillance and assessment of developments in the macro-economic environment, financial markets, institutions, and infrastructure.
- Build stress test scenarios and solicit approval from the stress testing working group.
- Conduct the assessment of the resilience of the financial system based on the approved scenarios, analyze results and document in the Financial Stability Report and other relevant reports.
- Draft the Systemic Risk Brief, Macro financial Conditions and Financial Stability Reports.
- Coordinate analysis of the risk and vulnerability dashboards to inform stakeholders of systemic risk developments.
- Evaluate performance of subordinate staff and recommend appropriate training.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 School Certificate with five (5) ‘O’ Levels (credit or better).
- MBA/MA/MSc in Economics, Banking and Finance, Business Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
- Five (5) Years’ relevant experience.
Key Knowledge and Attributes
- Analytical and conceptual skills.
- Proficiency in macro-financial analysis.
- Econometric modelling skills.
- Knowledge of computer programming languages and/or econometric software (e.g. E-Views, MATLAB, STATA, VBA etc).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office application such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Access.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
