- Training and retraining of associates on specialized equipment.
- Conducts process simulation studies / tightening analysis.
- Conducts tool setting of pneumatic, electronic & static torque controlled fastening tools.
- Conducts machine and process capability studies.
- Conducts capacity inspections of static & dynamic toque controlled fastening tools
- Conducts process capability inspections.
- Conducts process and failure modes and effects analysis.
- Adhere to process-monitoring frequencies.
- Initiates process control documentation.
- Updates central fastening process control database.
- Applies and maintains quality standards and therefore ensures conformance to job relevant elements.
- Initiates and follows up on corrective actions.
- Interacts on a day-by-day basis with personnel of the Assembly Plant to support primary targets.
- Interacts with technical equipment suppliers and customers internal/external with authority and responsibility to enforce technical requirements such as:
- Process implementation and control.
- Equipment implementation and control.
- Select and approve viable technical alternatives (process, equipment, etc.).
- Initiate actions to assure product quality under all circumstances during the production process.
- Ensure equipment availability under all circumstances.
Qualifications and Experience
N6 Technical Diploma
Trade test (Electrical or Mechanical)
Minimum 3 years experience in Assembly Plant
- Basic and advanced statistical process control.
- Basic fastening technology.
- Torque tool handling methods.
- Basics of Electronic fastening workstations AMT / Atlas Copco.
- Basics of PC systems, Networking / IPS – Q (International Production System – Quality).
