- Participate in program strategy meetings with key government partners and support implementation of program activities;
- Assist in the development and iteration of training materials, job aids, curriculum, and mentorship and supervision tools for the program as needed;
- Support the Ministry of Health and other key partners to implement a training-of-trainers cascade or an alternative training and supportive supervision strategy which builds the requisite capacity and skills among front-line healthcare providers;
- Communicate regularly with trainers and healthcare facility providers;
- Document implementation successes and challenges and propose recommendations for improving the quality of the program;
- Collaborate with relevant supply chain stakeholders to quantify commodities for program implementation and assist in the mitigation of supply chain challenges;
- Conduct visits to facilities with designated staff from the central, provincial, and/or district MoH and provide real-time coaching and feedback to healthcare providers to strengthen services;
- Assist in regular monitoring and evaluation of program activities;
- Develop reports and presentations for internal and external use;
- Provide ongoing and regular support to program-related units and departments of the MoH (e.g. PMTCT team, Maternal and Child Health team, Lab team, etc.) and other key partners as needed in coordination with the Country Director;
- Other tasks, as needed.
Requirements
- Baccalauréat/ Bachelor degree in public policy, international development, public health, economics, business, or related field;
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in demanding and results-driven environment;
- Experience working in the Cameroun health sector and stakeholder engagement;
- Strong program management, technical skills, and strategic planning with experience in project design and implementation;
- Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, ranging from senior Ministry of Health leadership to frontline healthcare providers and community-based volunteers;
- Willing to travel on short notice, to multitask, to work in ambiguity and to respond to instruction from multiple sources;
- Naturally inquisitive, skeptical, intellectually curious, detail-oriented and organized;
