To supervise and undertake the formulation and implementation of programs in order to promote community participation and behavioral change towards solid waste management.
Main Duties and Accountabilities (Without Limitation)
 Supervises and undertakes effectively the mobilization and engagement of community-based enterprises in order to incorporate community participation in the management of solid waste at community level.
 Supervises and undertakes effectively communication and education on solid waste management in order to create awareness and promote positive behavioral change towards waste management in communities.
 Supervises and undertakes effectively outreach programs in order to sensitize the public on the management of solid waste.

 Supervises and undertakes timely the development and dissemination of IEC materials in order to facilitate the education and sensitization of the public on waste management.
 Supervises and undertakes effectively the monitoring and evaluation of Unit programs in order to facilitate the development of appropriate interventions.
 Supervises and undertakes regularly the preparation of reports on the management and provision of solid waste education services in order to facilitate the dissemination of information and inform decision making.
 Supervises and implements effectively the conduct of research on topical and emerging community engagement issues in order to generate information for informed decision making.

REQUIREMENTS
 Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
 Bachelors of Science Degree in Environmental Health, Social Work, Development Studies, Environmental Education or equivalent.
 Member of the relevant professional body.
 At least 4 years work relevant work experience.
