Duties /Responsibility
Reads and interprets electrical blueprints and schematics
- Provides troubleshooting and demand maintenance work on a variety of equipment and systems including centrifuges, compressors, gear boxes, autoclaves, washers, blowers, mixers, reactors, pumps, conveyors, heat exchangers, motor control centers, electronically controlled equipment and instruments, air handlers, overhead doors, dock levelers, along with other equipment related to production and facility operations
- Works on PLC control systems for all plant equipment
- PM, Troubleshoot and Repair all types of electrical equipment failures including but not limited to air breakers, breakers, transformers, substation breakers and controls, motor control centers, AC and DC motors, contactors, capacitors, transformers, process equipment and electronic control system devices including variable speed motor controllers, signal transmitters and converters
- Safely shut down electrical systems and/or equipment to allow for inspections, renovations, maintenance, repair, -troubleshooting of process control instruments and related systems
- Repair equipment during maintenance shut downs
- Train new employee
Job Requirement
Education & Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- 3-5 years experience in electrical maintenance or associated works
- strong verbal & oral communication skill
- relevant electrician certificate
- proven problem solving skills
- – familiar with the National Electric Code
- proven work experience as a maintenance electrician
