Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement curriculum for English classes that align with IEB standards and school goals
– Teach a range of English courses, including literature, grammar, vocabulary, and writing
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
– Provide feedback and support to students on their academic progress
– Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning community
– Stay up-to-date on best practices in English education and incorporate them into lesson plans
– Attend and participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
– Teaching certification/license in English
– Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching English at the high school level
– Strong knowledge of English literature, grammar, and writing skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
