Qualification and Experience:
- An MSc in Textiles/Textiles and Apparel Design or Master of Consumer Science in Clothing Management or any related qualification for the rank of Lecturer.
- A PhD in Textile Science /Apparel Design/Consumer Science in Clothing Management or related qualification for the rank of Senior Lecturer.
Duties:
- To teach Textile and Apparel Design and Textile Science courses at Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels;
- To supervise and mentor Postgraduate and Undergraduate students, guidingthem in their theses/ research projects and facilitating their academic growth;
- To supervise students’ field attachment;
- To conduct research in the discipline and collaborate with Colleagues to contribute to interdisciplinary research projects and initiatives;
- To undertake Administrative duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department;
- To undertake Consultancy Assignments; and
- To engage in Community Outreach activities
