To ensure the security, availability, and efficient operation of the organization’s network infrastructure and IT systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• • Design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Monitor and respond to security breaches, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement and maintain network access controls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus solutions.
  • Conduct regular network and system security audits and risk assessments.
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure reliable operation and performance of network equipment and services.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and security-related issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date network and security documentation.
  • Train users and IT staff on cybersecurity awareness and protocols.

Person Specifications

Academic Qualifications

• • An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • A Postgraduate Diploma in Cybersecurity, Networking or Information Systems is an added advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are an added advantage.

Work Experience

At least five (5) years’ experience in IT networking and security, three (3) of which should have been at Officer level in a reputable organization.
