Ampersand manages a fleet of batteries that our moto drivers change at one of our many Swap Stations. These batteries are used by more than 1000 vehicles across multiple countries, which make close to 3 million km every month and swapped thousands of times a day. We are on our way to release more than 2000 batteries and vehicles in the next year.
Ampersand is seeking the first software product manager, who will report directly to the CTO. The PM will work closely with a team of 10 software engineers and will own 3 products: a mobile app for moto drivers, an app that powers battery swaps at swap stations, and a software product essential for managing the operations of swaps and the battery fleet. This role is high-impact and has a large scope. You’ll be directly responsible for ambitious outcomes that support Ampersand’s mission and growth.
Key Responsibilities :
Build a deep understanding of software customers’ needs and pain points (external partners, drivers, internal stakeholders, etc.)
Drive the product strategy, roadmap, and roadmap execution
Define product requirements and work closely with engineering, design, and other teams to bring the roadmap to market quickly
Collaborate with operations, sales, and customer service teams to develop go-to-market plans and ensure successful product launches
Continuously gather feedback from customers and use it to improve existing products and inform future product development

Minimum requirements
Across all our roles, we look for professionals with strong work ethics and the ability to manage shifting priorities and unforeseen challenges. For this role specifically, you will have:
3+ years of working experience, mostly in product management-related work.
Degree in a relevant field (engineering, product design, UX research, etc.)
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with a range of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to operate in a highly technical environment
Proven track record of launching successful products
A strong work ethic and the ability to manage shifting priorities and unforeseen challenges
Fluency in English
Fluently with Scrum and Agile
Preferred Requirements
Experience in a start-up environment
Experience in the battery swap or mobility industry
Experience with hardware, B2B, and / or internal products
