Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Train and assess rigid/articulated Heavy Duty truck operators
- Support training compliance with the requirements of LMC standards.
- Define and identify the training needs as per the organisational requirements.
- Support the compliance to the Operator Competency Scorecard.
- Indirectly minimise costs through efficient training of employees by providing expertise, resources and services.
- Identify of the training needs and work with the Coordinator – Training and Supervisors to manage and implement the relevant training programs.
- Develop continuous improvement training methods and communicate and apply accordingly.
- Support in the Implementation and development of facilitator’s manuals, capability assessments, workplace competency assessments.
- Assist in Development, implementation and maintaining safe work procedures and promote high safety and health awareness.
- Ensure appropriate facilities, procedures and workforce competence to achieve legal compliance, incident prevention and the achievement of tasks in an environmentally sustainable manner.
- Support the development and maintenance of up-to-date job procedures for all tasks performed within the function.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Advanced Technical Trade Qualification
- Accredited TEVETA Trainer & Assessor
- Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience on various types of heavy equipment (i.e. Dozers, Front-End Loaders, Motor Graders, Scrapers, etc.)
- Ability to
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge of relevant software
- Ability to work flexibly and make decisions quickly
