Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Design, develop, and deliver safety training programs that meet the needs of our employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Deliver training programs in a classroom, online, or on-the-job setting, using a variety of training methods and techniques.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, including assessing learner knowledge, skills, and attitudes, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs for trainers and instructors, to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to deliver safety training programs effectively.
- Promote a culture of safety excellence within the organization, by encouraging employees, contractors, and visitors to take an active role in safety.
- Ensure that all safety training programs comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of safety training programs.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum Diploma in Health and Safety
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Health and Safety training
- Accredited TEVETA Trainer & Assessor
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, word))
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge of relevant software
- Ability to work flexibly and make decisions quickly
