Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
- Conduct risk assessments for Warehouse Security operations and develop mitigation strategies.
- Verify all received stock against purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and quality of delivered items.
- Identify and report damaged or incorrect deliveries and discrepancies for resolution.
- Mark all received and Binned items with the approved markings for security reasons
- Ensure Guards at Central Warehouse maintain at all times high standard of work ethics and discipline expected of a Security officer.
- Ensure Guards at Central Warehouse are fully equipped to respond promptly to any incidents- ensuring quick intervention.
- Monitor access control, proper issuing and exit procedures of all items at Central Warehouse and resolve all anomalies according to the laid down procedures.
- Ensure all security equipment at Central Warehouse are maintained, secured and in working order.
- Oversee Rotables dispatch, receiving and monitor the delivery of the received Rotables to all end Users accordingly
- Ensure proper management of all authorised Rotable gate passes and ensure also that Rotables inventory and the tracker is accurate and up to date.
- Keep track of the outstanding Returnable Rotables and expedite all overdue items accordingly.
- Conduct quarterly Audits on Rotables and escalate the findings accordingly
- Ensure Rotable monthly reports are populated and escalated accordingly
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovatively or adjust existing work procedures and practices according to the identified security concerns and needs at Central Warehouse
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and security at Central Warehouse and across the site.
- Maintain a good working relationship with everyone at Central Warehouse and across the site
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate
- Diploma in Security or in Security- Supply Chain related discipline is a must.
- Diploma in Procurement, or Supply Chain Management, or Logistics, or a related field is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Security and in Stores/Warehouse Management, preferably in a Mining Company or any other environment like the Mining Industry.
- Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change of agent.
- Must be computer literate
- A valid driver’s license (manual)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Previous experience with SAP
