Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology; or Software Engineering; or Computer Science; or Information Systems Management from a recognized University / Institution.Working ExperienceApplicants should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience which must have been served at the level of Warehouse Systems Officer in Government or an equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Warehouse Systems Officer for performing the following duties:-
– Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and other applications;
– Providing technical support and guidance on the use of Electronic Warehouse Receipt System and Management Information System to users;
– Conducting market surveys so as to identify latest industry trends and developments;
– Developing and supervising maintenance of data bases, data analytics, data collection systems and other strategies to optimize the efficiency and quality of Electronic Warehouse Receipt Systems;
– Reviewing electronic records to identify any issues in the Electronic Warehouse Receipt System;
– Developing and maintaining Electronic Warehouse Receipt Systems;
– Identifying areas for modification in existing software applications and subsequently writing efficient code to implement these modifications;
– Evaluating emerging technologies so as to enhance business operations;
– Designing security controls and monitoring performance of the Electronic Warehouse Receipt Systems;
– Testing warehouse equipment and software;
– Designing and developing e-registries for information sharing with Financial Institutions and other stakeholders;
– Preparing periodic reports;
– Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
