Document stories and images of FRC program participants for communication and fund-raising purposes.

Deliverables &Timetable

At least five different kinds of good quality photos of each person whose story is documented (possibly including photos of the families with the child/children)
At least 7 well written stories of persons with different personal backgrounds.

Scope of Work

The assignment will cover the following key tasks:

• Develop/ adopt interview guidelines for soliciting stories of FRC program beneficiaries from various operation sites
• Travel to different FRC operational field locations and interview individuals and groups who are part of FRC’s intervention
• Compile and edit stories of individuals (identified in close discussion with FRC team members) in compliance to FRC’s focus on inclusion of persons with different backgrounds which fits for communication and fundraising purposes
• Generate high quality photoshoots of individuals and groups identified for story documentation and FRC staff in line with FRC photography and communication guidelines and standards
• Work with FRC program and communication teams at different levels in ensuring that production of the stories and images are in line with the specified standards and quality

Duration The assignment will last for a maximum of one month (November 04- December 04, 2023) working for a period of 10-15 days during which the professional will conduct case story documentation and photography activities in selected FRC operational sites in close coordination with FRC Country Office and Field Office teams.

The final deadline for submission of the final work is on 04 December 2023.

The incumbent is expected to observe FRC’s data protection policy and related guidelines and will maintain information and images generated through the exercise exclusively for FRC related purposes and not sharing outside the organization.

Job Requirements

The resource person is expected to have the following qualities:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing story and photography, graphic design and editing
• Strong knowledge and experience with photography and editing software
• Experience handling similar projects preferably working with humanitarian organizations in development of communication materials
• Quality of empathy and good understanding of how to approach populations affected by traumatic situations
