Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients using our Big Data tools, providing guidance and support to ensure they can effectively utilize our systems. Ensure minimal business operations impact due to upgrades and maintenance activities
- Client Training: Walk clients through the usage of our tools, offering hands-on demonstrations and answering any questions they may have.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to data ingestion, curation, and processing. Provide Level 1 support which is after hour support ( This will not be ongoing as L1 support will be handed over sometime in 2025 )
- System Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of the architecture and code base of our Big Data tools. Stay updated on any changes or updates to the tools and infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues, suggest improvements, and relay client feedback.
- Documentation: Maintain and correct current application documentation making it available to application users
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with Big Data technologies, including AWS services (e.g., S3, EMR) and Hadoop ecosystem (e.g., HDFS, MapReduce, Hive).
- Proficiency in coding and scripting languages such as Python or Scala.
- Strong understanding of data architecture and infrastructure components.
- Apply critical thinking, design thinking and problem-solving skills to solve technical problems on existing applications
- Schedule and oversee planned maintenance tasks, such as backups and performance tuning
Experience:
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues or experience as a Big Data Developer is a must.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure

Bachelor’s Degree: Information Technology
