The job holder is responsible for conducting comprehensive training for Kansanshi Mining Plc (KMP) employees and designated contractors on Hauling operations by the KMP Standard Operating Procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning for daily activities according to the training plan & schedule.
Conducting training in line with the Operator Training Manual process or path.
Conducting assessments in line with the assessment procedure.
Install a high awareness of safety in all aspects of training.
Maintaining a proactive approach to all aspects of operational and behavioral safety and encouraging teamwork within the department in line with KMP company values.
Proactively engage others in safety
Complete all documentation to a high standard and submit it on time.
Monitor the training hours completed by each trainee to ensure adherence to the training path.
Administrate and record learning progress accurately and timeously.
Coaching & Mentoring Learners.
Ensure that all training is in line with the company’s approved procedures.
Liaising and planning with the supervisors to minimise negative impact on production.
Ensure that all documents are signed off by relevant stakeholders
Conduct infield observation and refresher training on operators to enhance skills
Ensuring that the learners’ identified skills gaps are closed
Demonstrate high levels of knowledge in WENCO systems operations
Competently using e-learning management systems (INX)
Reporting all lapses to the supervisor during training
The ability to facilitate classroom and field training for groups of varying sizes.
Any other duties as may be reasonably requested of you, in line with the effective operations of the Training Department
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Grade 12 School Certificate
- Valid driving licence
- Diploma or certificate in Teaching methodology
- Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Valid first aid certificate
- Blasting licence is an added advantage
- A diploma in a Mining-related field would be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the mining industry at the operator level.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience operating haul trucks in a very busy mine environment
