Main Job Purpose
To prosecute criminal cases in all courts of Zambia to bring offenders to
justice.
Specific Duties and Requirements:
 Prosecutes effectively criminal cases to facilitate the proper dispensation
of justice;
 Processes timely dockets and issues summary trial certificates to expedite
the delivery of justice;
 Renders effectively legal opinion to government departments and provides
legal guidance on complaints to members of the public about criminal law
to facilitate the administration of justice; and
 Guides and directs law enforcement agencies in the conduct of criminal
investigations to ensure proper administration of justice.
Qualifications and Work Experience
 Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or its equivalent;
 LLB Degree;
 Valid practicing certificate;
 Must be a member of the Law Association of Zambia; and
 Must be a Zambian citizen.
