Main Job Purpose
To prosecute criminal cases in all courts of Zambia to bring offenders to
justice.
Specific Duties and Requirements:
Prosecutes effectively criminal cases to facilitate the proper dispensation
of justice;
Processes timely dockets and issues summary trial certificates to expedite
the delivery of justice;
Renders effectively legal opinion to government departments and provides
legal guidance on complaints to members of the public about criminal law
to facilitate the administration of justice; and
Guides and directs law enforcement agencies in the conduct of criminal
investigations to ensure proper administration of justice.
Qualifications and Work Experience
Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or its equivalent;
LLB Degree;
Valid practicing certificate;
Must be a member of the Law Association of Zambia; and
Must be a Zambian citizen.
