JOB SUMMARY
The Stock Controller is responsible for stock control and inventory management in
compliance with the inventory management processes and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts
and reconciling discrepancies
2. Collaborate with the Commercial team (Fertilizer) to understand product movement
and ensure stock levels align with anticipated sales volumes for Fertilizer
3. Implement and maintain efϐicient inventory control procedures, including stock
rotation, stock returns from the hubs, ϐirst-in-ϐirst-out (FIFO) principles, and proper
storage practices
4. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory management policies
and procedures
5. Work closely with the production team to oversee the efϐicient receipt, storage, and
dispatch of goods
6. Monitor and track slow-moving or obsolete stock and propose appropriate actions to
prevent ϐinancial losses
7. Generate accurate reports on stock levels, stock movements, and dispatches
8. Continuously improve inventory management processes to enhance efϐiciency,
reduce costs, and optimize stock availability
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate should preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting
Statistics, or Business Administration. In addition, they should possess at least three
years of experience working in a busy manufacturing industry.
He or she must possess knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices, as
well as of basic accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Office
applications, particularly Excel.
