Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research on products, industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Analyze market data to develop insights and strategies for capturing new business opportunities
- Identify opportunities and threats within the market landscape.
Competitive Intelligence:
- Monitor competitors’ activities, including product launches and pricing strategies
- Evaluate competitors’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).
- Assess market share and competitive positioning relative to key competitors
Strategic Planning:
- Assist in the development of strategic plans and long-term objectives.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department to define strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Identify strategic opportunities for growth, expansion, and diversification.
Prospecting & Partnership Management:
- Identify and target potential partners through various channels, including online research, networking events, and industry associations.
- Understand partners’ business needs, objectives, and challenges to effectively tailor our products/services to their requirements.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Communication:
- Work closely with internal teams, especially the product team, to align business strategies and achieve collective goals.
- Communicate market insights and partner feedback to relevant teams for continuous improvement.
Business Pitch and Proposal Creation:
- Develop compelling and persuasive business pitches and proposals.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development efforts.
Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Finance / Economics, or a related field.
- At Least 2 years of experience in strategy consulting, strategy analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in market research and competitive intelligence.
- Understanding of the local digital financial services and fintech space
- Problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is an added advantage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting targets
