Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities and duties of the Programme Officer are:
• Liaison between the Programme Secretariat and the various Agencies and Institutions under the Sub Programme;
• Monitoring the Sub Programme work plans, budgets and expenditures and contributing to preparation of reports;
• Scheduling and organizing meetings for the Sub Programme;
• Providing technical support to the various Agencies and Institutions under the Sub Programme;
• Coordinate the preparation of the budget related to the Sub Programme activities; Coordinating the Sub Programme review activities; and relevant stake holders.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skill and Experience: Qualifications
• A Master’s Degree in either Project Planning and Management or Business Administration, or Economics or Education or Health, or Gender Studies, or Development Studies from a recognized University/Institution.
• An Honours Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in either Economics; or Business Administration; or Social Sciences or any Humanity from a recognised University/ Institution
• Professional qualification (or attestations substantiating candidate’s participation) in Project Planning and (or Programme) Management will be an added advantage Experience
• At least six (06) years working experience three (3) of which should have been in Project or Programme Management in related fields under Labour and Social Development at a senior position from a reputable organisation
• Demonstrated competence in the fields of Planning, Resource Mobilisation, Project or Programme Management, Monitoring and Evaluation.
