JOB DESCRIPTION
B1 Overall purpose of the job.
1. Purpose of the job is to operate a Boilers and Co-generation Auxiliaries as per respective shifts.
2. Work at Co-generation and any other requirement as directed by the Cogen Manager
through the Shift Superintendent.
3. Any other tasks as directed by the Cogen Manager through the shift Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities
• Checking that all boilers and auxiliaries are in good state of operation. Boilers, Steam lines,
PRDS, Fans, Bagasse carriers, Ash Water Clarifiers, Pumps, Air compressors, ESP, Ash
handling system and any other equipment related to Boiler operations.
• Allocating jobs to subordinate and monitoring their performance.
• Managing staff and materials under your custody.
• Maintaining staff discipline and motivation.
• Operating the Boiler DCS system.
• Standing in for the supervisor – Boiler DCS in his absence.
• Working under the guidance of the shift superintendent – Co-generation.
• Managing bagasse storage sheds.
• Adhering to and enforcing the safety, Health and Environment policy of the company.
• Performing any other related duties as may be assigned or delegated to you by the shift
superintendent/management within the company. C Knowledge, qualifications &
Experience C1.1 Education:
Complete Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
C1.2 Experience, Skills and Competences:

Three years operation experience in Co-Generation plant. High pressure Boiler operation experience.
Self-Supervision and responsible.
Communication Skills:
Speak, Write & read English Language.
Troubleshooting of Co-generation for any Operation/Maintenance. Interpersonal Skills:
Willingness working in a team and to receive and follow instructions with enthusiasm.
People Skills:
Willingness working in a team to achieve the teams set goals.
