Reporting to the Fuel and Lubrication Coordinator, the Supervisor-Fuel Issuing is responsible for ensuring that dispensing of fuel to authorized mining equipment, vehicles, and personnel, ensuring accurate recording and compliance with standard operating procedures, safety and environmental regulations.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Fuel Dispensing
- Dispense fuel to mining equipment, vehicles, and personnel
- Verify equipment/vehicle identity and authorization
- Ensure correct fuel type and quantity.
- Monitor fuel levels and report discrepancies.
Record Keeping and Administration
- Accurately record fuel issuances in logbooks or digital systems.
- Update fuel inventory management software.
- Generate reports on fuel consumption.
- Maintain filing system for fuel-related documents.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to mine site safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-shift safety checks on fuel equipment.
- Report hazards, spills, or equipment issues.
- Participate in safety training and meetings.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform basic maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment.
- Report equipment issues to supervisors.
- Clean and maintain fuel dispensing area.
Other Duties
- Collaborate with maintenance teams for equipment fuelling
- Provide fuel-related information to operations personnel.
- Participate in audits and inspections.
- Develop and implement process improvements.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Advanced diploma or equivalent in any business-related field
- 1-3 years of experience in fuel management or related field.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license (optional).
- Familiarity with mine site operations and safety protocols.
