Job description

Establish contact with clearing agents and inspection companies to clear items on time by checking on the arrival of consignment including Air and Sea Imports.

Key Tasks:

Facilitate the shipping of goods from one destination to another.

Ensure proper flow of documents and information.

Ensure timely payment for duties on shipments.

Lise with shipping lines for information on shipments.

Provide weekly and monthly report on all Import/Export Stakeholders

Report to the manager on activities of the ports in safe and cost-effective manner including, consolidation, storage, etc.

Document and file all received/ shipped materials for company record.

Track the movements of goods at every stage daily, to ensure that they are safely being delivered to their respective customers.

 Maintain records of the orders placed by the customers, their delivery and contracts signed with clients for official and company use.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

Education:

 Minimum of a Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or Logistics and Transport Management.

Experience:

3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge:

Microsoft Office

Logistics Management

Planning & Organizing

Transport Operations

FreClearance Process

Customs (CEPS) Regulations

Negotiation

Supplier management
